Newborn Photography | Marcelo | In Home Lifestyle Session

When I tell you this baby was a dream, I mean it whole-heartedly. Marcelo was so calm and sweet throughout his entire session. And this was not lost on his parents, they were completely smitten with him. Every time I looked at his mama she was just smiling at her boy - pure joy. These moments are everything and are exactly why I love capturing these early days so much.

From Corbin's little grin to the beautiful sunset, this family session was a dream. I love that occasionally photography allows me to catch up with my sweet friends  -- Lora and I worked together previously and were due just a few days apart. And with life keeping us both busy, this was the first time I was able to meet sweet, smiley Corbin and my goodness he is just as precious as he looks.

You may notice as you browse these photos that there was no lack of love here. I hope that Lora and Brian will be able to cherish these photos for years to come and look back at this special time with the fondest of memories.

Kelsey and I have been best friends since we were 9 years old - most of our lives. Through every season, the crazy ones, the hard ones, the great ones - she has been by my side and I am so grateful for her friendship, she is truly one of kind.

When it comes to motherhood, she is a natural. Being a mama suits her beautifully. I truly look up to her (and call her all the time with my first-time-mom questions!). 

I think that this season, the season filled with scraped knees, baby giggles, first words, first days of school, tears, triumphs, accomplishments, stepping stones, the season where our babies take up our days and our nights... this season is my favorite and I couldn't do it without the support of my best friend. 

So Belsy, here's to forever friendships. Love ya and those babies bunches.  

Portrait Photography | Karley's Senior Session

I have yet to stumble across a more beautiful backdrop for photos than the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. I mean you guys, they have a greenhouse filled with cacti!

Karley decided on a sunrise session so I got there a little early to scope out the best spots for photos and let me tell you - I wish I could spend every morning walking around there, coffee in hand. It was such a peaceful setting and the perfect way to start the day.

Karley doesn't take a bad picture so bear with me as I try to limit myself to posting the highlights!
